I ‘met’ a minister today and found a book by two pastors

And Today is interesting. Buenas, queridos.

The above book is one I recommend for thinking Christians who everyday strive to walk beside Jesus (man/metaphor/messiah, no matter to me; and I neither mind nor particularly care what you believe about him.)

It’s, thus far, and I’m still reading, is written by two pastors who see things clearly (having probably scraped more Dark off the Looking Glass than many of us), and are speaking to we the people as reasoned, thinking folks. They’re straight talks and explain things clearly.

And on Facebook, I met a minister who sent me a friend request and I accepted. He, too, is a Christian who speaks authentically and not the psycho-babble that Xtians use. If the spiritual belief you have is working toward actualizing the ONEness that is real, then cool. If your belief systems is about Hate, Separation, Division, you are following a lesser god…

All in all, this is a pretty cool day practicing ONEness. To God/Universe/Life (and my elementals): Keep up the great work!!!

A daughter and her mom

Me and my mother at my father’s funeral. He wasn’t assassinated because he said he wanted his children to be judged “by the content of their character.”

He was gunned down because he was courageous and strategically working to dismantle racism, poverty and militarism. He was speaking truth to power about the Vietnam War, about economic injustice + racial injustice, about ‘The Other America,’ about the violence of the U.S. government.

Today, people who don’t want the truth shared about these things are using one quote (from a speech that my father gave about injustice and his dream that we’ve eradicated injustice, including racism) to ban honest history, under the guise of banning #CRT.

But banning CRT, which many who are zealous about banning don’t fully understand, isn’t actually the goal. Instead, books about freedom and freedom fighters, including my father, who was a nonviolent warrior, are being banned. And teaching on racism is being banned.

Truth about the past and the continual fight for justice and freedom is only a threat if a person considers the freedom of others bondage for them. Transparency about how racism and white supremacy have devastated and continue to devastate is necessary for humanity.

Misuse of a murdered man (who was then among the most hated men in America by white supremacists for talking about and doing something about what many want us to shut up about today) for the benefit of banning even him is unconscionable.

We must teach our children the truth about history and about what we must do now to conquer hate and injustice. We must do that at home, in school, via books and art, etc.

Anyone unwilling to do so cannot humanely claim concern for hurting white children as a reason.

Black children are human.

Brown children are human.

Racism is destroying the world that all children live in.

And if adults are not courageous enough to confront it, what are we teaching our children?

What are we leaving our children?

Finally, what is the intentional focus on CRT distracting those who have fallen prey to the fear mongering from really focusing on?

What’s not being corrected when history is not being taught correctly?

Powerful words from a friend

One of my friends told me about a powerful lesson in her daughter’s high school class this winter. They’re learning about the Salem Witch Trials, and their teacher told them they were going to play a game.

“I’m going to come around and whisper to each of you whether you’re a witch or a regular person. Your goal is to build the largest group possible that does NOT have a witch in it. At the end, any group found to include a witch gets a failing grade.”

The teens dove into grilling each other. One fairly large group formed, but most of the students broke into small, exclusive groups, turning away anyone they thought gave off even a hint of guilt.

“Okay,” the teacher said. “You’ve got your groups. Time to find out which ones fail. All witches, please raise your hands.”

No one raised a hand.

The kids were confused and told him he’d messed up the game.
“Did I? Was anyone in Salem an actual witch? Or did everyone just believe what they’d been told?”

And that is how you teach kids how easy it is to divide a community.

Shunning, scapegoating and dividing destroy far more than they protect.

Be the light, beautiful people.

Our Children of the World…

It is so horrifically wrong to kill children.

Unless their parents or people taking care them

Don’t obey

Dare not to live the way they’re made to…

As designated sub-humans – a strata deliberately created (like the Brits with the Irish, the U.S. with people of color)

By a group of people who have decided they are better than (fill in the group you look down on/hate/see as less than human) others

And they have decided that your children have NO value. They’re there.  That makes them terrorists. That makes them okay to die in cages…or open air prisons where they can be picked off at random, often to the glee of those “better” humans.

It is against all our good books tell us about the value, sanctity, and the love and care of our children.

But hey…they’re not OUR children, so they don’t count.

IF I CROSS TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD, I WON’T BE ABLE TO SEE THE BLEEDING AND THE MOURNING…

Patterns…with a righteous video and truths

If you don’t collaborate – engage with each other – whether it be the hood or the heights or the global community of people – you are being propagandized

And you always have been if you believe that people who do the same thing as you do every.single.day. are somehow ‘different’… ‘the other’…’less than you.’  We actually do many of the same things…

That would be going

To a wage job that requires little to no skill or talent to get through the day…

To an hourly/wage job that requires – no – does not want you to know any more than you are told to do. Do it productively/faster/meet a quota/push…

No more overtime. Bosses can’t afford to pay you for working hours you would otherwise spend with family/friends/creative pursuits/just plain being – so they simply take it away.  They have taken away essential rights (the right to have free time…the right to choose…) and now pay nothing for overtime; or have tweaked it so cleverly, it is always sure to benefit the company to the detriment of the people working there.

And for the disappearing Middle Class – you work how many hours a week?  How much else, how many things to fill your time? Tired at the end of the day…worried you might be in the process of becoming them…

Moving to addressing a few comments in the moment so we stay on track, yes, please?

I am well aware that there are dishonest/creepy/hateful/ignorant/mean/criminal/etc people in every.single.level. of Life.

The aforementioned people are not all in the groups you don’t like/hate/fear/etc.  Hello?

These microcosmic vignettes are realities.  Do they happen all the time? Tell me first what happens all.the.time., k?

Patterns of Oppression

Patterns of ignoring “bad” things

Patterns of hyper-individualism and paranoia

Patterns of Apartheid and Genocide that have been and are going on the whole of my lifetime.

In those days, we were taught to believe that all policemen are there to help you, are always kind, and you never have to fear them.

We believed what we were taught.

In those days, we were taught to believe that all pastors, priests, et al were the connection to God (mostly the God who looks like the particular humans doing the believing in any given moment) and that we should not question their word…even if it hurts.

We believed what we were taught.

And the patterns repeat on up the spectrum of power to the top, where we are taught to believe that our Congress (or whatever it is called where you are) is honorable, serves the people’s interests, cares about our welfare; that they are well-educated and intelligent, compassionate men who are well-versed in the massive tasks they are shouldering…responsibility and integrity always at the forefront…they lead by example…

We believed what we were taught.

In those days (and for some, still) there is an All-knowing God/Allah/Yahweh/et al, to whom you must show absolute obedience or (pick your own consequence of not believing or not believing in the proper manner according to in-the-know-because-they-have-a-direct-understanding of God/Allah/Yahweh/et al).  Kind, all for the benefit of the little sinners from whom God/Allah/Yahweh et al will exact revenge for misdeeds in drastic fashion. Established religion has always been either the Power or the handmaiden-to-Power.  Fact. Peace be upon them all, bless their hearts.

Times change, yes.  Patterns repeat – normally to the determinant of our body/mind/spirit.  Here are three examples in the excellent video, and this will, I hope, be an ongoing discussion about how we – ONEness warriors – see people – other humans.  Do we see them?  What are our opinions of them? Our learned responses?

Ireland and their principled stances of Human Rights, in this case, Palestine and Israel.

The information this young man gives is Truth.  For anyone Irish, I’d welcome your aware opinion.  The patterns for all three examples (and there are more; my own research has brought me articles, graphics, horrific pictures. For this one, I agree with every.single.thing. he said.  It can all be fact-checked and there’s so much more he couldn’t get to in 30 minutes.

IF YOU TRULY WANT TO KNOW THE REALITY OF THE CONFLICT/Apartheid/Genocide (and we see so little), THEN START BY INVESTING 30 MINUTES WITH THIS YOUNG MAN.

Note:  If you are not going to invest the 30 minutes to watch this critically important video, then please don’t bother to post because all I’m interested in is a reasoned dialogue.  That means you actually have to watch the video; get the information; hey! Maybe even take notes, eh?  No links or videos on this particular thread.  Why?

I want us to talk about one huge issue at a time.  The gamut of fallacious constructs can remain for another thread.

This is an opportunity to look at our Selves and say, Fuck!  For real?  Or “Oh my!”  I really believe you will feel what he is saying at a very deep level, if you are not closed to a New Day Coming, and we’re right here in the middle of the paradigm shift.

Who I am and why I’m here

This is my first lesson for my WordPress class, and I’m excited! I can do some of the basics, but others…hence my gratitude for the class.

Me, I’m a Oneness activist, and this is a blog about how we can practice that; how it models in real-time.

Learning how to blog will free up time to concentrate on content.

I have two others in beginning stages, one of which is a mock site for a book I’m writing. Having a bit of trouble with it.
